I don’t judge anything he did or didn’t do at Arkansas. He got thrown into the lions den that is the SEC with only minimal time to prepare and got smoked. Arkansas should have promoted from within. He was not ready for the SEC. The SEC is just unreal. Like Auburn, one moment your hoisting a national championship trophy and the next your getting clowned and looking for work.

The only problem with this is he’s going to win there and win big. And, the first time and mid-level D1 progam calls he’s gone. But, everyone needs to work so good luck to him

Seems like a decent guy and a decent coach, probably a real good move for Fort Lewis. Had success in the smaller conferences, appeared to be overmatched in the SEC and the B10.

Men like this should stay in the game. Going to a smaller venue only makes the current and future players that much luckier. Most would say its a step down for Smith and I say it’s a step up for the university.
