Ex-Arizona RB transferring to Wazzu

Looking to end his collegiate career with the possibility of more playing time, ex-Arizona running back Daniel Jenkins will transfer within the Pac-12.

Via his Twitter account, Jenkins said that he will transfer to Washington State.

UofA will always be my Alma Mater, I am excited for the new opportunity to play against the best of the best and achieve my goals at WSU

— Daniel Jenkins (@DANIELJENKINS3) January 17, 2013

Jenkins made his decision last month following an 8-5 season for the Wildcats. With Ka’Deem Carey coming back for (one would assume) one more season, there wouldn’t seem to be much playing time for Jenkins unless Carey was injured or suspended. Because Jenkins has already received his undergraduate degree from UA, he can transfer to another FBS school and play immediately.

Jenkins was third on the team in rushing in 2012 behind Carey and quarterback Matt Scott with 293 yards and two touchdowns.
