Leach officially names Yost to coaching staff

Okay, now it’s official.

Last week, reports surfaced that former Missouri offensive coordinator David Yost would be joining Mike Leach’s coaching staff at Washington State. That was confirmed Friday evening in a release from Wazzu. Yost will coach inside receivers.

“David is a tremendous offensive mind and will be a great addition to Cougar football,” said Leach in a statement. “His offenses have always been well prepared, explosive, and he has a great ability to develop players.”

Yost resigned from his OC spot at Mizzou last year after a 5-7 season. At the time of his resignation, Yost said “There are a lot of factors that played into the process of coming to my decision. I feel like I’ve had a great run here and that it’s just the right time to turn it over to someone else.”
