Seriously, posters, and all…which coach possibly deserved this award more? To me it is Saban, hands down. I thought this one was a no-brainer.

I hope by next season we have an OC, a great OC, (not the OL coach!) and can make a difference.

I still don’t understand what is wrong with asking a kid who is injured to wait until the next recruiting class to become a member of the team? Has Saban EVER not given a kid a scholarship after asking him to grey shirt? Does this practice go against any of the NCAA bylaws? Let me answer those for ya NO, NO, and NO again. So what is the problem? I think it’s just people needing something to bitch about because they have so much hatred for him for beating their team at one time or another. I can honestly say I don’t care one bit if the coach of your favorite team ask a kid in his recruiting class to grey shirt as long as he still gives them their scholarship the next year as promised. So until Saban doesn’t make good on one of these promises or it becomes an NCAA violation please STHU about it.

Congratulations Coach Saban! You truly are one of the best coaches in college football…

Guess you couldn’t deliver the goods on ole Cam. I guess that makes you a liar. No I don’t wish we would win a SEC Championship the way Auburn did. I’d rather win it with honor and humility and not with others looking at a program that cheated. The NCAA changed the rules as soon as the season was over. If a parent ever peddled his or her child to a school, that child is BANNED. Known as the Cam rule. One last comment: you’re a disgusting PIG in addition to a LIAR.

Got to admit when Gene went to Auburn he was met with a fairly good Auburn team left by Tubs.Gene better be glad Newton came along or they would of imo been about a 9 win season that year.Did Gene deserve to win any trophy,no but the team did that went with a winning season.Most that have answered my articles before i retired from writing told me Gene would fall after the 2012 season and they were right.Auburn being a renegade program Gamecocker you could only wish SC could even win a SEC Championship with an alcoholic QB and coach that just could never win the big ones.By the way alotta filth back in history says the same things about SC as Auburn has been called.And please don`t ask me to do anymore searching for you.But i can say Auburn is much better with Chizik gone.JMO.

Wait a minute….Gene Chizik who ran a renegade Auburn program, won the first Bowden award. That is not so impressive. Where is he now, this “great coach”? He’s where he should be….out of the college game.

O’Brien had a great season considering the circumstances. Be upset by what Sandusky did and certainly don’t condone it. But do not condemn a coach and players who had NOTHING to do with it. Despite all the noise around them they pressed on. And deserve credit for it.

Finally we have a deserving award. Winning a second NC in a row is much more difficult than winning the first especially when you have feelings of entitlement and great losses to the NFL. Awarding people like O’Brien of PSU is a disgrace. Synder and Sumlin did do great jobs and would be much more deserving than O’Brien who had a mediocre season at best.
