I really don’t mind the SEC trolling. Like I said, they’re the best at footballing. That’s something. The conference has won other sports. Fantastic. Troll away. ND fans shouldn’t do it because, well, they’re only rooting for one team and it gets embarrassing to talk so much trash against an entire conference.

What would I do? Well, I probably wouldn’t go on national TV until I had things figured out. Look, its obvious that he played along, even if he want in on it. However, I probably do owe Manti an apology. Not because I think he is an innocent mark, but because this isn’t so bad on the grand scale of things. I failed to apply a modifier I like to use when hearing of others problems: would I be ok with it, if its the worst thing you ever do? In this case, I would be. Plus, there is always a price fit our deeds, and sometimes for just having bad luck. Any locker room he is in, there will be whispers, every visiting stadium he enters, there will be chants. In my personal opinion its time to let this go. We all had our laughs, but every joke gets old at some point.

The center of the college football world has not been South Bend for decades now. Legacy and tradition never tarnishes, but at some point you have to realize your not that program anymore.

Ever since the Alabama game I’m envisioning his career to be like Brian Bosworth’s with some great highlight clips of NFL backs running him over.

And I hope he’s not paying for the PR help, because it looks worse for him every interview. Rhetorical questions are intended for cases when it’s obvious you did the correct thing, not when someone can shoot back the response “Not continue lying to my family.”

Fnc111 both my husband and I are comfortably retired.
The graduation rate at BAMA is 75% (football players). It would be higher if so many didn’t leave for the NFL their junior season.
BAMA cheats??? That’s news to me. Over signing….we can’t help all the best recruits want to come to BAMA.

As more and more info comes out, it certainly leans toward the Te’o was naive side. However, there are going to be many who refuse to believe it because it is much easier to hate and mock than to have sympathy.

So far, the only evidence that Te’o was in on the hoax was an unnamed source who was 80% certain and pure speculation. Evidence to the contrary continues to pour in. If you haven’t at least attempted to re-evaluate, you’re doing it wrong.

And anyone who says ND is a joke is just trolling. Big TV contract? Top ranked recruiting class? Top 5 ranking? Coveted head coach? All of these things say ND isn’t a joke. Of course, we can talk academics, but no one here seems to care. So why bother?

ND trolls, please stop. You’re making ND fans look worse. SEC trolls, do whatever it is you do. You can talk trash and even if its inaccurate and doesn’t make sense, whatever, I suppose the SEC is #1 at footballing.

Be4bama you have to be crazy or just stupid to compare Alabama to ND in academics. you beat us at the NC we give you that. Half the players on Bama can barely read, write or speak a coherent sentence. That was the most moronic statement. ND is one of the highest ranked colleges in the US and maybe besides Stanford and Duke the only school that takes academics serious and competes at a high level in sports. You are WAY out fo your league bringing up academics. I think the education system in alabama is in the bottom 5 if not the worst in the US.

You really also feel inferior about your school. You have commented on this story about 100 times.

ND is the biggest brand name in collegiate football. They don’t need to join a conference. They recruit nationally and aren’t a regional school like Alabama. Enjoy your win. Keep over signing and cheating because that way you will never lose. Enjoy that less than 50% graduation rate on your team as well. You might have to pick that banking career back up to pay for all the welfare recipients soon to be coming off of your football team. 2.7% of college athletes go pro in their sport. Please add up the numbers and contradict yourself.
