Of all the STUPID moves Jerry Jones has made since kicking Jimmy Johnson out of the door, this is near or at the top. Jerry is truly getting senile now. At least this will probably reduce the amount of money Tennessee has to pay Dooley. Vol For Life, MSEE 1968.

I would not say giving someone three years is a “short straw”. Speaking as a UT fan, people wanted to see Dooley succeed. He simply failed to get it done, most of the losses were understandable, but not even being competitive in a lot of games was not.

Coach Derek Dooley is a person of integrity and class. Those of us at South Carolina will always remember the honor shown to Marcus Lattimore when he was injured in the game vs. UT. That showed me a lot about the character of their leader and the role he played in making men out of these young boys.

The Cowboys better focus on defense and OL. But as for Dooley, he did recruit a number of good wr to UT. Good luck Derek

Derek was also a positions coach and recruiter at LSU for Nick.

I guess he can provide the Cowboys with some additional information on QB Tyler Bray, WR Justin Hunter, WR Cordalle Patterson, WR Darick Rogers, and OL Dallas Thomas.
Derek Dooley had alot of talent on the offensive side of the ball, unfortunately he could not put together a good defense even though they had some decent talent on the defense.
