I think Showers should have probably stayed around a little bit longer. The way that Johnny likes to run the ball, Showers is only one injury away from being the starter. Johnny’s ‘slipperiness’ might not ‘slip’ one of these huge SEC linebackers and there goes your starter and your season in the blink of the eye. Then again Manziel has been nothing short of amazing since the moment he stepped on the field so if he went his whole career without sustaining any kind of serious injury due to running the ball it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

Call me old fashion but I like the AJ McCarron’s and Aaron Murray’s of the world that drop back in the pocket, goes through their progressions and if nothings there, throws the ball away and lives to play another down. But to each his own I guess…

To the blog, I was being sarcastic. It seems that there are certain posters who attribute success on the football field as exploiting players by “over signing” and “greyshirting”. It’s far from the truth.

A year ago Johnny Football was not even known. From what I understand, he was running second string to replace Tannehill.

It’s known as competition.

I wish any transfer good luck and God speed, particularly the QB that is leaving my Bama team.
