I am so sick of atm fans. You FINALLY have a decent season and you are all of that?!@# No you are not. You couldn’t beat a Big12 team when you were in the Big 12 now you think you are all sec. You’ve had ONE decent year. It was not even great. Get a life. And you better hope Johnny Fluke……can do it again. I bet he can’t.
sec is way over rated. One good team at the top. The rest are middle of the pack at best.

The Big 12 is nothing more than a slightly larger Big 8. A regional conference at best, the Big 12 has degenerated into a boutique conference with two dominant teams like the Big 8,( just substitute Texas for the Nebraska role) which is exactly what Deloss Dodds wants. Texas abhors competition and wants everything to be controlled by Texas. Just ask Arkansas, Missouri, Nebraska, A&M, or Colorado if they miss the machinations by Texas. The answer will be no!

To show just how far the Big 12 has dropped in actual prestige, the conference is applying for a wavier for a 1o team league to have a conference championship game. This waiver has Deloss’s fingerprints all over it. Pathetic.

A&M before Johnny = dogshit. Now respectable with two SEC losses in year 1. Sec is better with TAMU and TAMU is better with SEC. Johnny’s Heisman was won in Tuscaloosa, not Lubbock

Kattykathy, you seem to want to ignore the other Big 12 team that moved to the SEC. And you also fail to mention that A&M, the 5th or 6th place team in the SEC, mud-stomped the Big 12 co-champs in the Cotton Bowl. Overrated my rear end.

@fiesty….your comments may apply to SOME Big 12 teams, but certainly not all. Also, the SEC teams, as a conference, don’t exactly line up a murderer’s row of non-conference teams on their schedules each year.

So the Big 12 is going to volunteer to be the SEC’s toilet paper? I’m guessing Deloss Dodds is still running that conference, and he has never been one to go boldly into a tough challenge. I doubt the SEC is going to let them put the games on their network, either. Deloss will find a way to kill this deal and pin the blame on someone else.

Florida State already told the Big 12 no. As long as Notre Dame is in the ACC mix, the Big 12 has very limited options for expansion. The Big 12 has very little to offer in regards to the ACC, SEC, B1G or the PAC 12. TV market? No problem, B1G and SEC already have massive footprints in Texas Recruits? Schools are already here, A little over 800 Division I football recruits already available for scholarships when there are a finite amount of slots open at Division I schools, Done.

The SEC could very easily do the same thing with the ACC with the aforementioned matchups and block the Big 12. From what you could read into this press release is that the SEC could re-evaluate their relationship with the Big 12 and do what is their best interest. Come on, you really think a Clemson/Iowa State game would draw any type of TV number? Baylor/GT? FSU/Texas Tech?

No, the only teams that would be a draw would be OU or Texas and neither school would want to schedule ACC powers in addition to conference games. No, you would see Wake Forest / Texas or NC State/OU,

This smacks of Deloss Dodds trying to build the LHN with cable and satellite contracts in the South at the expense of the ACC and try to stick it to the SEC..

I would love to see this happen and especially if both conferences would only play SEC/Big12 teams. There would be a considerable number of quality match ups each week which would be great for TV revenues which means more dollars for the conferences. The competition would increase and in my opinion that would cause better / stronger / superior teams to the other conferences.

This would be HUGE for the Big12 and SEC

Don’t be surprised if the SEC tells the BIG12 that they would love a scheduling alliance, but only if the BIG12 expands to the same number as the SEC.

Slive would love nothing more than to see the BIG12 get FSU, Miami, GT, and Clemson. That would keep the BIG10 out of the south, and it would alow the scheduling alliance to mostly be with in-state rivals across conferences (GT/UGA, FSU/UF, and Clemson/USC).
