I’d prefer rankings be based on team need. I remember when Weis would get impressive hauls at ND but they’d all be offensive play makers w/ no front 7 help on D.

I also remember in the mid-90s when Nebraska had a juggernaut similar to what Bama has now & they never signed a top 10 class….or at least a top 5 class. Of course, recruiting has changed since then & Nebraska was able to sign more playes through local high school schollies that were funded by alumni. Unfortunately, for them that loophole has been closed. Great idea at the time though as they weren’t breaking rules.
