The country’s consensus No. 1 prospect, Robert Nkemdiche, sent in his letter of intent to Ole Miss this morning. That by itself could be enough to consider Ole Miss’ signing day to be a success, but Hugh Freeze and the Rebels aren’t done yet.
At around 9:30 this morning, the top offensive tackle recruit (according to Rivals.com), Laremy Tunsil, also announced he signed with Ole Miss. Tunsil chose the Rebels over Alabama and Georgia. Tunsil is considered the No. 14 overall prospect in the country.
Ole Miss now has the No. 1 overall recruit, No. 1 offensive lineman and No. 1 wide receiver in Laquon Treadwell. Though the Rebeles began the day ranked as the No. 11 recruiting class in the country, this could easily be a top-five class by the end of the day.
