Obviously USC has some issues, but…..if you watched them last season, you saw a lot of players who passed the eyeball test, most of whom (including Marquise Lee) are coming back; plus a recruiting class with 5 5-star and 7 4-star guys is pretty impressive despite the defections….if Kiffin is coaching this year to save his job, he sure seems to have the resources to do it; I think it’s just as likely that they’ll win 9-1o games as it is they will fall apart, especially if Lane cuts out the stupid stuff (spats with the press, deflated balls, number changes during games etc.)….

Lame won’t leave in the middle of the night like he did at Tennessee. He knows this is the end of the road for his storied coaching! He’ll go down as probably the third or forth best 7-6 coach ever…They’ll have to drag him out of his office when he gets canned!!!

The problems at U$C are much greater than LK
They have a history of blatant cheating in multiple sports that PC and the former AD took to the extreme. U$C needs to clean house including PH. They wont be good on the national level for years and 2012 proves this beyond a doubt. They will lose 4 or 5 games a year till they wipe the programs clean. JG is their only hope

Sorry to hear your leaving Kennedy. You have and always will be a Trojan. You should be the last guy that gets let go. Your players loved playing for you. In fact, I was hoping when Haden does make the move, that you would have been given a serious look to take over. Not sure what happened here with LK but you weren’t the problem. Keep your head up, your a good man.

I hope that all of these coaching changes work out for a better season for USC. If not then the next coaching change needs to be saying goodbye to Lane Kiffin. We expect national championships and Rose Bowls Lane and so far you haven’t produced. Good to see a good recruiting class, now hopefully that will translate into a much better season the next few years.

Exposed……..Kiffin is nearing the end…….Boy Wonder is about ready to cash out. Flaming out at one of the pillar programs in all of NCAA football. Look for him in 14 as an assistant at a D2 or FCS school…..c’mon Pat you owe it to the alum….there are far better options than this egomaniac.

When he was pulling his crap at UT before he left, most UT fans looked at him like someone who had said an off color joke loudly at a black tie party. Quite simply, they did not know whether to laugh or cry. Nonetheless, he has been the gift that keeps on giving for UT football-NCAA sanctions and basically two lost recruiting classes (Fulmers last class which he ran off for the most part plus his sole class which mostly ended up in jail).

Part of me wants to hug USC in the way someone would when they have hit rock bottom. The rest (90% or so) just wants to slap them for having the hubris to make that fire in the first place.

Best he was let go by USC in his own interest. The dirty losing program at USC will never change as long as Haden and Kiffin are there. All of their assistants will be shunned by the NFL and other college teams. Birds of a feather flock together mentality.

I remember the brouhaha with the Jeff Fisher when Kiffen hired Polamalu after he’d already made a verbal commitment to the Titans. Fisher sued USC, claiming Kiffen was guilty of illegal tampering. Man, when Jeff Fisher calls you out for being dirty … that’s bad. Hope the time spent at USC acting as a figurehead for Kiffen was worth it for Troy’s uncle. Since Fisher wound up being fired at Tennessee, he probably wouldn’t have done any better there.
