Tracy Moore to return to Oklahoma State for another season

The NFL released its list of scouting combine participants earlier this week, and included on the roll for the Victor’s Secrets pro underwear show was erstwhile Oklahoma State wide receiver Tracy Moore.

Moore’s inclusion surprised many as it was thought that the receiver would be granted a waiver and return to the Cowboys for another season. As it turns out, and after a bit of confusion, that’s exactly what happened.

Gina Mizell of the Daily Oklahoman confirmed through an OSU official late this past week that Moore will indeed return to Stillwater for another season. The reason for Moore’s inclusion on the combine list? An oversight, Mizell reported.

Moore suffered a season-ending injury in mid-October last year, which came after he was hit with a one-game suspension for taking a leak in public. Or for public intoxication. Or for a citation on suspicion of providing alcohol to a minor. Take your pick amongst the three offseason incidents that led to the suspension for the opener against (chuckle) Savannah State.

Moore came into the 2012 season as OSU’s leading returning receiver, having caught 45 passes for 672 yards and four touchdowns in 2011. Prior to his October injury, Moore had 20 receptions for 259 yards and four touchdowns through the four games in which he played.

And, for those who are curious, Moore was indeed listed on the NFL’s official combine roster, right between a UConn linebacker and a Notre Dame defensive back:
