But the law will treat them as it would any other offender in this situation, and the punishment might not be as severe as we on the outside think it should be. Just basing that on other sentences for similar offenses. Williams is in the most trouble because of the gun charge, but the laws in Alabama aren’t what they are in New York. Like irishdodger, I expect Calloway will walk away from most of this.

Hopefully the 3 involved in the beating are gone for good & punished appropriately…haven’t they confessed? I don’t know enough about the Callaway situation but if Saban thinks he deserves a 2nd chance at CFB, why not just set him up w/ an FCS program where he can play immediately? That way he’s seen as a disciplinarian & Calloway gets a 2nd chance to finish his collegiate career…assuming the credit card was his only issue.

This sense of entitlement because they can run a 4.3 40, or stuff a ball through a hole 10′ off the ground, or hit a round ball with a round bat squarely, is out of control. Sometimes I think these guys forget they’re getting a six-figure education FOR FREE.
