I have often wondered if crazy people were aware of their affliction. Alas.....it is apparent that you have NO idea that your cheese is no longer on your cracker! You start out with lambasting someone for being fanatical. You then, make reference to your fanaticism (for the sport and not a team, as noted) taking you to over a dozen different venues over the years. Maybe your inability to be loyal to one team, has jaded you to the point where you can no longer see that only someone who is fanatical would spend that kind of money and time to enrich their lives with tradition and local fare. And, yes, your either your lack of common sense, or your fanaticism has led to your inability to discern what was said in this article.

What did Mack Brown mean? I don't know. I can tell you what he said.....“Alabama is ahead of all of us with the number of personnel they’ve hired, and that’s something that everybody’s looking very closely at,” Brown said Thursday. I love how all the idiot's come out in droves to claim cheating or rule-bending (Mack Brown included), when the games best coach has success. But, it doesn't bother me, because I have been FANATICAL for all things Unversity of Alabama, since before I can remember.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I believe Mack is envious that Saban is ahead and many fans do not like oversigning. That is obvious. I note a few folks are okay with it. I live the game and let NCAA make those rules. Offenders will be punished. From what I see Saban is okay.

On another note this is a football forum and reading a long post of narcissism leads me to believe either you know alot about Bc you are it you are in health care. No one here really cares but you proved her point that you were harassing her. Also just an observer sure has a lot of the same things to say as huskerfan. Just saying!

Enjoy the forum and let's try to be classy. Oh and this is only my opinion and I only point out the obvious. If you want to talk some ball comment me back other wise I don't participate in trolls.

Honey, I’m perfectly calm … as an Alabama fan, it makes sense for me to be here, commenting–in a perfectly rational way–on the article.

You’re the supposedly disinterested party who’s ranting and raving at people …
None of this is worth having a stroke over. Geez.
_____________________________________________________________________

Yeah, you sound real calm and rational, Ms Debbie. LOLU (Laughing Out Loud and Uproariously)

And as for me being a “supposedly disinterested party,” let me share something with you, Ms Debbie. Since you now call me honey, you won’t mind if I refer to you as Ms Debbie, will ya?

Anyhow, I’m a huge college football fan, see. I love the game to the extent that I have traveled this country to more than a dozen different venues over the years to see different teams play each other, soak up local traditions and chalk up memorable tailgate experiences. In each case it was not a matter of me being a fan of either team, but of the game itself.

Now when I see a story like the one in question here, I don’t think I need your approval or that of anyone else to offer my feelings or opinion about the story. This is particularly true when I see people erroneously interpreting the story or deliberately distorting the story as you have done and then bullying others who happen to disagree with you.

Indeed, to do so and then to keep on doing it, you not only look like an idiot, but you look like a deranged and delusional one as well.

Since you've already demonstrated that you'll keep this up ad nauseum rather than simply own that you fired a nasty, baseless attack at me, I'm going to delete the link and leave this thread for good. You can italicize my comments to your heart's content. They're mine and I own them. I see nothing wrong with calling out a jerk who's being a jerk. Nor do I see anything wrong with blasting someone who has accused me of denying my team is oversigning when I haven't and making excuses I've never made. You're typical of the "mote and beam" crowd. You fixate on me calling you Sparky and suggesting you sober up before posting, but you see nothing wrong with attacking me for something I never said and demanding I explain myself.

Now feel free to whine on undisturbed.

I'm glad you spent so much time picking apart my posts. Too bad you didn't spend as much time reading them as a whole before you slammed me for pretending Bama doesn't oversign.

Yep, guilty. I read an article that clearly implied Mack Brown was miffed that Saban was ahead of the curve and I responded that Mack should stop whining because he was slow off the blocks. I wrote a response that was consistent with the material presented. If you don't like that, too bad.

As usual, some jerk brought oversigning into an article that wasn't about oversigning. And yep, I called him out as a jerk because the guys who do that could care less about the welfare of these kids. They're just ragging on SEC teams. And in my opinion, which is what we are providing in this comments section, the B1G policy on oversigning is asinine ... just as I said. Yep, you've quoted me correctly. I have no problem saying I find a conference policy asinine, nor that I find people who divert from the topic at hand just to create controversy jerks.

Oooooh .... something is missing here, Sparky. You've omitted how you out of nowhere attacked me:

you are also supporting oversigning like you say doesn’t happen at Alabama. So what is it? Does Alabama oversign, or not? You laugh at a conference that only allows 3 to be oversigned, and yet you also try to hide behind some cloak that you don’t oversign. Which is it?

Which is it? Huh? Huh? Answer that, Deb? You're trying to deny what Alabama does. You're hiding behind some cloak. So answer the question, Deb!!

I never denied that Alabama oversigns. I never cloaked anything. I never laughed at anything. And who are you to be giving me a third degree? It's not my fault that you can't read posts that are as clear as glass. Anyone would have reacted negatively to you spewing that nonsense ... something you still aren't man enough to own.

You don't have to repeat my words back to me. I've never denied anything I've actually said. I've only taken issue with the stuff I haven't said. Is there any chance you can stop whining because I called you on distorting my comments?

Thanks, I feel the same about you. polegojim is a great fan, and there are some other great sports here, too. The good thing about blogs is they give the fans a place to interact. The bad thing is they give the poor sports a place to vent. Guess we have to take the bad with the good :)

Guess we have to take the bad with the good

I got your back Deb and am very glad that you are in our corner. It seems like it's us (Bama fans) against the world on here sometimes doesn't it? All these so called fans could learn something from polegojim. Alabama beat his favorite team Michigan last year and instead of getting on here calling us all kinds of horrible names and accusing us of cheating he just let us know that the next time our teams meet his team is going to take us down. Perfect example of how to talk smack but still be civil...Thank you polegojim, and thank you Deb. I thought this article made it sound like Mack Brown was taking shots at Saban too. I didn't realize "Sparky" was such a nasty name or that having someone attack me and defending myself was justification to have another jackass attack me.
Wow Tony, how funny that you should bring up racism. I was watching this special on that very subject this morning and you know what state they were talking about? You guessed it, Indiana. They said that when the KKK arrived there they literally ran out of sheets THREE separate times because there were so many people joining. They said, at that time, 1 in every 5 men in Indiana belonged to the Klan. Now I'm not denying Alabama's racist PAST but apparently you know nothing about Indiana's. Just google- Indiana-Racism-History if you don't believe me. Once again, in that glass house throwing stones like crazy...Besides have you ever even been to Alabama? Have you not noticed that just about the whole team is black? There are more black people in the south than anywhere in the United States and the last time I checked we were all getting along great. Sure there are isolated cases of racism every now and then but that happens in EVERY state. Have you even looked at Alabama's team? For a state that supposedly doesn't like black people there sure are a lot of them on our team and even more of them are willing to come from all across the nation to play here. Now would they want to do that if there were crosses being burned in their yards? Hell no. People like Mark Ingram and Julio Jones will go down as some of the best players to play for Alabama and I am damn proud of that no matter what color there skin is.

Why are we talking about racism anyways? I thought this was about college football? You know the thing that you say is SO IMPORTANT to us Bama fans yet YOU are the one coming onto a COLLEGE FOOTBALL website and leaving ignorant, hate filled comments about a team that you have no ties to except for a 42 to 14 throttling almost two months ago. For winning not to be that important to you as a ND fan losing sure does make you act like a jackass. I mean this isn't the first Alabama article or even website that you have spouted off all this bullshit on now is it Tony?

What did I say that was a lie on my other comment? Pretty sure that kid got killed because your coach sent him up 1000 feet in the air on a very windy day right? Pretty sure Teo got catfished by a GUY and lied about meeting him/her/it right? Now the rape thing, bravo, your school can cover up with the best of them, kudos.

You wrote, "kids taking basket weaving and graduate and they can barely read." You might want to go back and look through your comment at all the errors before you accuse anybody of not being able to read. Throw dem' stones. Are we having fun yet?

What is the point of College football? When the two teams go onto the field the idea is to score more points than the other team by the end of the game and the team that scores the most points does what? They WIN, the point of the game is to WIN. Is winning important to Alabama fans? Your damn skippy, but it's just as important to all the other fans of all the other teams or they wouldn't be on this website everyday reading articles and commenting during the time of the year the sport isn't even played. People love this sport and they love the feeling when their team wins. If you can't handle that, tough titty said the kitty, go watch pee-wee football where they hand out participation trophies...

Keep in mind that you're the one on an Alabama article that has nothing to do with ND leaving petty little childish comments out of bitterness and hate. It's one of those don't start no shit there won't be no shit things. If you got anything else you would like me to take you to school on go right ahead be my guest, I've got all day. I guess I could have just summed all of this up with SCOREBOARD but this was more fun!!!

If you can't beat em', slander the shit of em' right Tony???

Honey, I'm perfectly calm. You're the supposedly disinterested party who's ranting and raving at people who came onto a blogsite and responded to the article posted on the site without making it their mission to go on a link-by-link research tour. At least, as an Alabama fan, it makes sense for me to be here, commenting--in a perfectly rational way--on the article. I've acknowledged that Bama oversigns and said I have no problem with that because it means more opportunities for more kids. That's why 79 of the 330 kids invited to the Combine are from the SEC. I haven't offered a defense because we don't need one. I called a guy an idiot for a ridiculous comment about burning crosses.

So what's your problem? Why is a guy with no dog in the hunt screeching at me like a banshee, calling me names, and acting like a jackass ... writing an entire post because I corrected a one-letter typo in for clarity's sake? Really, dude ... get a grip. Watch some linemen run their drills. Take a nap. Enjoy your Saturday. Attend your bipolar support group. None of this is worth having a stroke over. Geez.

No, you're an idiot for letting your fanaticism for Alabama football get in the way of good judgment. Again, any reasonable person would have to discern from Brown's comments that he has no qualms with 1) what Coach Saban has done; and 2) he (Brown) believes that the new rule(s) may be looked at more closely by the powers that be and modified somewhat.

Now, instead of writing your screeds in defense of Coach Saban and Alabama -- two entities in this case who do not need defending for they have done nothing wrong nor has Coach Brown suggested as much -- go back and read Ben K's CFT (not PFT) article again, take a valium or whatever is your preference -- and take a few deep breaths. Further, you might want to quit calling observers like huskerzfan names because he/she happens to disagree with you. That way, maybe people like me won’t count you as fair game for name-calling and resort to labeling you an idiot.

I can't get over the way most of the idiots commenting on this article let their fanaticism or stupidity -- or both -- get in the way of their demonstrating any ability for reading comprehension. Even a cursory read of Brown's comments would indicate to a reader of average intelligence that Brown actually was complimenting Saban and Alabama for moving quickly to utilize the new NCAA recruiting rules. Further, I believe Brown's comments implied that if the new rules remained in effect, Texas and the rest of the Div. 1 schools had better catch up with Coach Saban or else.

Oh, for you fanatics out there, I hate Texas -- almost as much as I do Notre Dame.

you are right bama is always about sportsmanship doing the right that at all costs, winning comes second first is to create a true student athlete!

What world do you live in Saban would kill someone to win, use PED"S and recruit any kid not matter his character to win.

kids taking basket weaving and graduate and they can barely read.

Stick to the idea of winning every year that is all you have in bama.

Most of what you wrote is a lie.

What is true is the racism and win at all costs at bama. i am glad they never have any crimes committed on bama's campus lol.

you are right bama is always about sportsmanship doing the right that at all costs, winning comes second first is to create a true student athlete!

What world do you live in Saban would kill someone to win, use PED”S and recruit any kid not matter his character to win.

kids taking basket weaving and graduate and they can barely read.

Stick to the idea of winning every year that is all you have in bama.

Most of what you wrote is a lie.

What is true is the racism and win at all costs at bama. i am glad they never have any crimes committed on bama’s campus lol.

Tony34343434 is another butt-hurt ND fan. Hey Tony, at least Alabama doesn't have players on their team that don't know the difference between what's real and what's imaginary. How long did Teo talk to a dude that he thought was a girl on the phone for, and then lie to the whole nation about actually meeting her? Oh and our coach never got a kid killed by sending him up in a scissor lift because football practice that day was more important than that kids life. Oh and don't even get me started on the whole covering up rape for a player. That's not criminal at all now is it Tony? At ND they don't worry about "teaching the kids what is a good and bad felony to commit", they just tell them to go ahead and do it and they will cover it up later. Honestly though, what is this really about? Why such bitterness towards Bama? Couldn't be the 42-14 embarrassment ND suffered on national television could it? I mean you win some and you completely blow some right? Maybe you should think twice before throwing stones in that glass house of yours....

You laugh at a conference that only allows 3 to be oversigned, and yet you also try to hide behind some cloak that you don’t oversign.

Provocative stuff that completely distorted my comments. That was just a little tongue in cheek ...

Alabama has done VERY well and others have been FAR TOO SLOW to respond.

Why waste an OUNCE of energy, or ONE breath whining and complaining?

See Einsteins theory of INSANITY - "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

Make the changes NOW, TODAY and compete.

Oh.... and Go BLUE! Soon to Roll over that damn Tide.... love you Deb and Norm ; )

Dang it!!! How do I always get to these articles after everybody has already had their fun? Anyways, Deb hit the nail on the head about the good times and the bad times. I have been a die hard Bama fan since before I was born basically. My parents went to get a sonogram and the doctor said, "congratulations, it's a Bama fan"!! So from that point on for 33 years I have rolled with the Tide. That's a measly FIVE years, counting 79' the year I was born, of National Championship Teams vs. TWENTY-EIGHT years of NOTHING but heartache, but that doesn't mean I wasn't cheering just as hard during those down years. When I went to school there I don't think we won a game, Lmao...

As far as this article goes, I just don't see the problem here as long as Saban is following the rules? Just sounds like Mack Brown needs to man up. It's not like Texas can't be just as much of a recruiting force as Alabama. Hell, the school is located in one of, if not the biggest and best recruiting beds in the nation and they even have their own freakin' TV station. This could have been an article about Mack Brown's hire of an awesome new recruiting coordinator that is going to help him bring his team back to being one of the elites. Instead it's an article about him crying over what somebody else is doing, something he should and could (since there is no law against it) be doing himself...

Nowhere in this article does he whine about anything. He's simply saying that Bama is ahead of the curve and everyone needs to look at following suit, even though he thinks the rules should probably be scaled back a bit. You would also know this if you read the ESPN article posted on the 21st that covered this same topic. Christ, people.
