Indiana’s Co-DC heading to USC

USC has had plenty of coaching turnover over the past couple of months. On Friday though, the Trojans filled one of their vacant spots.

First reported by USCfootball.com, Indiana coach Kevin Wilson confirmed on his Twitter account that Hoosiers co-defensive coordinator Mike Ekeler had left for a job with USC. It’s believed that Ekeler will coach linebackers. Assuming that is indeed the case, Ekeler would replace Scottie Hazelton.

Ekeler joined Wilson’s staff at IU after a three-year stint as Nebraska’s linebackers coach and was considered one of the better recruiters for the Hoosiers.

Lane Kiffin reportedly hired Mike Summers from Western Kentucky earlier this week to coach offensive line. The Trojans are still looking for an offensive coordinator to replace Kennedy Polamalu.
