Getty ImagesSome links from around college football on a Saturday…
- 1-AA Jackson State is planning to build a $200 million, 50,000-seat domed football stadium. Okay, then.
- Former USC coach Pete Carroll says something needs to be done about an “out of whack” NCAA.
- From the NFL combine, Manti Te’o is still getting questions about the girlfriend hoax. But his focus is elsewhere.
- Former North Carolina linebacker Michael McAdoo is still pleading his case that he was wrongly kicked off the team in 2010.
- Been known for a while, but the Bears have officially hired former Alabama wide receivers coach Mike Groh.
- It’s time to move on from the Oregon investigation, writes John Canzano of the Oregonian.
No mention of coaches banging subordinates or players taking online courses?
I am dissapointed.
Only 200 million for a 50K seat, state-of-the-art domed stadium? I don’t think so.
I’ve read into the Jacksonville St stadium news a bit (not too much) – apparently the stadium is meant to be the major venue of the city of Jackson, MS (not just being built for the 1-AA team)
D00sh
Carroll’s comments were very interesting. The McNair lawsuit results will also be very interesting. I found it hilarious that the NCAA seems to thinks its recent investigation fiascoes, which are not limited to football, are somehow an aberration.
That’s funny! The Headline is about one-liners and there’s a picture of Te’o. Too easy
