APSome more coaching news, this time from Cincinnati. First-year coach Tommy Tuberville has rounded out his coaching staff with the addition of Steve Clinkscale as the Bearcats’ defensive backs coach.
“I’m happy and excited to add Steve to our staff,” Tuberville said in a release. “He has a reputation as a great coach and teacher of the game as well as being a strong recruiter. We are really looking forward to getting on the field next week with the start of spring football.”
Clinkscale spent the 2012 season on Tim Beckman‘s staff at Illinois and previously coached under Beckman at Toledo. He replaces John Lovett, who left to take a job with the Philadelphia Eagles.
I still don’t getwhy he would take this job. I’m not saying it’s a bad job it just doesn’t seem to fit
Hor2012…… Have you seen the disaster that they call U of I football???? The Cincy job fits perfectly because if he stayed at Illinois he wouldnt nhave a job come December 1st whe the entire staff will be fired. Dead men walking in Champaign.
What’s the cutoff for an adult, male to be called Tommy. I’m thinking 9 years old.
