Don't be surprised when this game is close, or maybe even an upset. Wofford's Triple option is deadly and very hard to prepare for. They are very well-coached & disciplined.

This isn't about dumbing down the schedule. This is about making sure you have 7 home games on your schedule to give your Athletic Dept the best possible chance of making money.

When Bayor's schedule came out with 6/6 home & away and there was a game at SMU, it stuck out like a sore thumb.
Maybe someone with access can review all BCS schools schedules. I am willing to bet just a handful of BCS schools have less than 7 home games.

Remember: That is the reason why we have a 12 game schedule. BCS schools told us they were going to do this when the schedule changed from 11 to 12 games per season... and they literally said we are allowing a 12th game so we can have an extra home game each year!

Emulating the SEC is usually a good thing for other conferences, but this trend isn't one of those times.

It would be nice if schools could follow through on commitments in their schedules, but there are often mitigating circumstances that don't allow advanced notice when cancelling games. In SMU's case this also isn't one of those times.

SMU decided it's non-conference schedule was too hard and replace Baylor with Montana State. Good for the Bobcats, bad for SMU's strength of schedule. I'll be so glad when SOS becomes a much bigger piece of the ratings pie.

A strong non-con schedule can only help to prepare your team for the conference grind. Too many teams think they have a chance to go undefeated and play in the national title game when they should be realistic and prepare to try and win their conference.
