Just curious, asking this question out of my own ignorance, sorry, but how do you get a thumbs-down for saying that Georgia is a good school, so at least he’ll have his education to fall back on? If you don’t think any major conference school is at the very least a “good school”, then you’re an idiot. Kudos to UGA for leaving him on scholarship. The football program has nothing to gain, and by contract terms they can pull the scholarship and give it to some incoming guy who will play. Glad to see they chose to do the right thing in a day when a lot of people wouldn’t. Good luck, Alexander.

agreed. Georgia’s a damn good school though, so at least he has a good education to fall back on.

I don’t remember him getting hurt last year, but possibly it is something like the heart condition that the kid from Utah had, and was diagnosed at the combine.
Either way, it is a shame when something like this happens.

methinks if the word “Alabama” were in this headline instead of UGA, there would already be a few dozen comments complaining (and assuming) about what “unspecified medical reasons” meant.
