Auburn dismisses Devaunte Sigler

The annual pruning of SEC rosters continues Friday evening, with Auburn the latest to announce a personnel shearing.

In a release, the Tigers announced that defensive tackle Devaunte Sigler has been dismissed from the football team. Other than of course, an unspecified violation of team rules, no reason for the dismissal was given.

“We have high standards for our players,” head coach Gus Malzahn said. “They will represent the team and Auburn the right way.”

Sigler played in 18 games during his time with the Tigers, including five last season. He was a three-star member of AU’s 2011 recruiting class.
