Following up on reports from earlier this week, West Virginia has finally announced the addition of running backs coach JaJuan Seider. WVU’s SID Coach Dana Holgorsen announced the news on his official Twitter account.

Seider comes to WVU from Marshall, where he’s spent the past three seasons as the team’s running backs coach and recruiting coordinator under former Mountaineers assistant Doc Holliday. He was also a graduate assistant at WVU for a couple of seasons under former Mountaineers coach Bill Stewart.

Seider is a former WVU player, but he ended his career at Florida A&M. He replaces Robert Gillespie, who left earlier this month to take another job with Tennessee.

I Like this hire. Young up and coming coach that can also recruit. Has WVU ties as player and GA. I hope he doesn’t read “Scout” we have some of the worst fans that post on this site. Sometimes I cant understand how some of these posters can themselves fans. They bitch about everything and most of them wouldn’t know a football from a baseball.

I was hoping he would land at FSU as an assistant coach. He’s a great recruiter!

(Editor’s note: are you not getting the hint yet?)

This guy was probably the best non-BCS recruiting coordinator in the country. Marshall just pulled in arguably the best non-BCS class this year even though they had a losing record. You should NOT be able to do that but Seider & Doc Holliday did it. This guy will stay at WVU for three years tops and then Alabama, Florida, or LSU will come calling. He will be the top paid recruiting co in the country before the decade is over, mark my words.

to mauldawg: I have noticed the same thing on this site. It is also like that at the Metro News site. However, the ESPN site is more up beat. I am a hard core Mountaineer, however, my husband graduated from Alabama, thus I root for them also. I also root for Marshall. I like the way the SEC stands together and I have tried to get the Big 12 to do the same. I always root for the team from the Big 12 when they play outside the conference. Gives me a lot to root for, but nothing is better than yelling at the TV when the Mountaineers are on. GOOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS.
