Why would Notre Dame be embarrassed about Te’o ? I’m sure he is very embarrassed but that whole issue really has nothing to do with the University other than the fact that he went there. I bet you Brian Kelly and the rest of the football team aren’t embarrassed in the least bit about that or about losing to Bama. What bowl game did your team go to? Hmm

Get your head out of the clouds. Big Ten has OSU and Michigan and that’s about it. They’ll continue to dominate the weak conference. Not saying Osu and Michigan arent good. They are. But you need morr than 2 teams in a conference. Urban even has been ripping the other B1G programs.

His team got overpowered by THE BEST TEAM IN THE COUNTRY. You say your boy Bo has “taken NU from the depths that Callahan left the program in” yet talk as if Kelly hasn’t done the same at Notre Dame, except he has actually made it to the NC (with a RS. Frosh at qb) unlike Bo. I wish ND was in the B1G. All but guarantees 9 wins every year playing your non conference sched and then your conference minus OSU and MAYBE Michigan.

And notre dame is always on the national stage. ALWAYS.

Iowa and Nebraska are two different programs. If I were a Nebraska fan (I’m not / Ohio State alum) the Iowa / Ferentz scenario would not be the standard by which I judged the stability of the UofN coaching situation. In other words, the fact that Iowa is obviously satisfied with 7 win seasons and December bowl games should have nothing to do with the expectations of a storied and tradition laden program like Nebraska. I agree with some of what you say in your post, but I’m not sure Pelini is the guy to return Nebraska to its previous heights (if that’s even possible now). He has been just successful enough, and Nebraska’s expectations have fallen just enough, so that 9 win seasons and Capital One bowl games are now considered good enough to garner another three year contract bump. Frank Solich was fired with a VERY similar record, but the difference is the expectations at Nebraska have changed… at least that’s what I got from your Kirk Ferentz / Bo Pelini comparison.
