Less than a week after losing an assistant to the SEC, Mike Gundy has moved quickly to close up the opening.
Monday afternoon, the Oklahoma State head coach announced that Tim Duffie has been added to his Cowboys staff as defensive backs coach. Duffie will replace Jason Jones, who left Stillwater after five seasons at the school for a job at Ole Miss.
Last season, Duffie coached Wake Forest’s secondary. That was his lone season with the Demon Deacons, coming to the ACC school after spending three seasons at Colorado State.
Additionally, Duffie, who played for Spike Dykes at Texas Tech in the late nineties, spent a total of eight seasons (2000-01, 2002-07) on the staff at UTEP.
