Biggest home game in their history? i just realized UConn has a football program.

Rumor has it that after the Michigan game that UConn will tear out 25,000 seats because no one gives a s**** about their football team.

Yes dmc… that’s part of the deal. You get that with Michigan, Penn St, Alabama, LSU, USC… no matter where they go. Same with Red Wings, Pens, Blackhawks…

These teams that have established perennial loyalty due to their commitment to excellence. They travel heavy.

alligatorsnapper, some years ago, UVA did exactly that when they were playing Penn State in Charlottesville – you only got a Penn State ticket if you bought UVA season tickets. UVA doubled the number of season tickets they sold, About 75% of the increase was to Penn State fans who were willing to buy UVA season tickets to go to the Penn State game.

I was at that game. It seemed like the crowd was at least 50% Penn State fans.

Rentschler Field, overnight stay at the Mohegan Sun Casino, and surprisingly, UConn fans know how to tailgate. I encourage fans to go see a UConn home game … Good time.

Obviously, UConn can use the 2K more seating, probably well more than that.

Maybe if UConn requires purchase of a season ticket to be assured of a ticket to the Michigan game, they will sell season tickets? That is what some other schools are doing for popular games in their season schedule, but I don’t want to give UConn athletic department any ideas they don’t already have.

What a big difference when they go to The Big House at about 110K!
