Glad to hear Trickett’s putting on some pounds. Never had an issue with his grasp of the offense, I was more worried about him getting folded in half on a hit. Kid can play, he just needs size in the worst way. Could be a step back this year but we are reloading with younger guys for the long haul. Now if we can just keep the coaching staff together we’ll be alright. Go Noles!

Fisher is HIGH on Coker, and Winston has the most talent.

Trickett is what he is. Solid, but not spectacular in anything as it relates to the QB position.

Jimbo’s full comments on the QB situation are that it is a four player contention for the starting spot, and if you read what he said about Maguire having an equal shot with winston, trickett, and coker, them seeing equal practice time with the 1st team practice squad going into spring, as well as his stress on the job being “all of their job’s to lose” it’s not really that Trickett has the starting job now. Its that if the first game of next season was today, without seeing how any of the other’s perform, Trickett would get first crack under center.

For all of you who don’t follow FSU football, itsa closebattle between Trickett and Winston, with winston having the talent, but having to show better playbook comprehension (which he is), and Trickett having to gain weight and strength (which he has done, he is up currently more than 15 pounds from last year officially, 24 pounds unnoficially).
Coker is really battling for third string barring stunning improvement or injuries, with maguire having no real shot barring a combination of the above.
