We’re stopping everything else to bring you the following important news:

Return of the Mumme(y).

Following up on a report from last month, former Kentucky coach Hal Mumme is in fact SMU’s new passing game coordinator. Mustangs coach June Jones made the announcement Wednesday.

Mumme, the mind behind the Air Raid offense, will now work with one of the gurus of the Run and Shoot. Together, Jones and Mumme will combine their offensive minds against Texas Tech in their first game of the 2013 season, which will obviously result in 200 points.

Mumme arrives at SMU after spending four seasons as head coach at McMurry. His previous stops include Iowa Wesleyan, Valdosta State, Kentucky and New Mexico State.
