Boise State adds ULL, UConn to future schedules

Chris Petersen AP

Boise State’s had a busy offseason when it comes to announcing future games. The Broncos added two more opponents to future schedules on Wednesday.

In a release, Boise announced it would play a home-and-home with Louisiana-Lafayette of the Sun Belt and UConn of the Big East (or, whatever it’s going to be called). Both teams will be added to BSU’s 2014 nonconference schedule. The Broncos are scheduled to travel to Connecticut on Sept. 17, 2014, with ULL coming to Boise the following week.

ULL is scheduled to host Boise in 2016, and the Broncos will host UConn in 2018.

Boise has also recently agreed to future nonconference games against Florida State and Troy.

More ges against schools from the Group of Five conferences will not help BSU crack the playoffs. One game vs. Florida State will not make up for 11 cream puffs.

What a frigging joke! Does BSU go out of it’s way to find sub par teams ALL the time??? Do they not want to play teams with a winning record? Do they think this is a way to gain credibility in the big boy football world? BSU is already the laughing stock of college football and until they start playing a decent schedule and not a glorified high school schedule everyone will keep laughing. If they want to play division II football then do it and stop acting like you are a big boy team and a contender for a BCS bowl game!

Timmy , where the hell you been ? You just can’t wait to slam Boise can you. You can do better than ” laughing stock of CFB ” c’mon man use that law degree and be creative.

The only jokes here are that tiny tim has showed up at yet another article on the internet claiming that he is not a fan of BSU. Your insecurities are out, you aren’t the Bama fan you claim to be…
The other joke is that you think you are a lawyer. Keep it up.

You don’t think Boise tries to get other schools to do a home and home? Are they supposed to just suck it up and go play on the road just to get some street cred? They have done that over the past few years and it hasn’t done them any good. The “big schools” don’t want to go play in Boise.

That excuse is is SO old! No major team is concerned at all about playing a team at BSU’s level. IF Boise played a schedule like the big boy teams do they (Boise) wouldn’t even be a .500 team. Therefore, they continue playing the high schools, junior colleges and technical schools then brag about how great their record is. That doesn’t work any longer.
