Report: Big Ten, ACC looking at Pinstripe Bowl

With the addition of Rutgers to the Big Ten and the Big 12’s focus for more bowls in the state of Florida, a new agreement between the Big Ten and ACC with the Pinstripe Bowl make sense.

According to CBSSportsJeremy Fowler, that agreement should be coming to fruition following the 2013 season, although exactly when the deal will be finalized remains to be seen.

The bowl, which debuted in 2010, pairs the Big East’s No. 4 team vs. the Big 12’s No. 7 team in Yankee Stadium. But with the massive turnover in Big East membership and the Big 12’s focus on Florida, the Big Ten and ACC -- which will have Syracuse and Notre Dame as a football partner of sorts -- are more natural fits.
