‘Canes LB booted from team

Gabe Terry

Miami linebacker Gabe Terry was arrested earlier this month on charges of possession of marijuana and resisting arrest without violence. Consequently, he was suspended indefinitely by head coach Al Golden.

That indefinite suspension has officially been labeled as a dismissal. Golden confirmed as much Thursday afternoon.

“Gabe was suspended before the incident and we didn’t take him to the spring game. Gabe is no longer with our football team,” Golden said. “It’s done. Again, I apologize. I don’t know what [information] was released on our end, but he’s no longer with the team. He was suspended before the incident. We’ve separated and moved in another direction.”

The news shouldn’t come as much of surprise; Gabe’s name has been off the Hurricanes’ official roster for a few days. You could easily infer what that meant.

In 2012 as a true freshman, Terry played in seven games, mainly on special teams.

This is called REAL discipline, not that shit you where you suspend a guy for a quarter BS. Thats 2 players in a month. Both linebackers on a team already weak at LB. Terry wouldn’t have made much of an impact but Eddie had all-conference potential.

    Can Larkin play linebacker? He’s 6’2″, 220,

Terry had a FELONY amount of weed in his pocket sleeping FACE DOWN in a god damn stairway. I would definitely say []_[] are back.

Don’t worry cane fan, Ricky Town will save you….in 2015. Until then…[]_[] will continue to be a giant bag of suck.

This is great. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I find this difficult to believe. A player on the “U” on trouble with the law? You can’t be serious? This school should have had the death penalty many years ago when Paul Dee ran the prison. But Warden Shalaula apparently turned the other cheek when she saw trouble brewing. She too should be dismissed.

As a non Canes fan I really like Al Goldens style.

Sounds like he was a perfect fit for The U. You’ve got drugs and a arrest. Throw in hookers & guns and this cat would be a team captain.

Gabe Terry is a good kid with a rough upbringing. The staff gave up on him. Youre supposed to help players grow up not throw them to the curb. It was the easy thing for them to do.
