Auburn’s leading tackler tweets he’s ‘back’

Trevor Walls, Demetruce McNeal, Jake Holland AP

After missing a handful of spring practices, the status of Auburn safety Demetruce McNeal was considered to be “up in the air.

Apparently, McNeal’s back down to Earth. Or something.

McNeal tweeted “Auburn football update I’m back!!!!!!!!” Friday, followed by “I was not in any trouble off the field everything was personal jus[t] to clear that up never was off the team jus[t] had to clear some things.”

Tigers coach Gus Malzahn said earlier this week that McNeal was still on the team, though his official status was lacking some clarity.

McNeal is Auburn’s leading returning tackler (90) and in 2012 tied for the team lead in tackles for loss with seven.

    I guess he didn’t violate his parole.

    *yawn* Once again, gamecock is trying to be witty. EPIC FAIL (at least he is consistent).

    You know, “just” is one of those words I’ve always had a hard time spelling. I don’t know what it is, but I get to that 4th letter and jus freeze up!

    @nothstarnic

    No, no…..you’re wrong about the “t” in just….Ebonics is an Honors course at Auburn and that is obviously what Demetruce McNeal is majoring in.

    Also, before I forget….who the hell names their child,
    “DEMETRUCE”? Oh wait a minute….it’s got to be part of the Ebonics language. How about Demitri or Dennis……

    Shocker! Malzahn reinstates his best defensive player. As long as this kid was not in jail he was playing.

    Yeah, almost as bad as Jadeveon, Damiere, Jevonn, Sharrod, Shamier, Kaiwan, Kadetrix, or Kwinton (just to name a few). Sounds like Ebonics is a graduate level course at USuCk.

    I’m glad you can recognize when you’ve failed. I guess your extensive experience with failure has led to that.

    That was actually me butting in, 1990tiger. Y’all know we’ll let just about anything fly here, but there are exceptions.

    I don’t have any issues with that; however, I’m surprised you let this thread go as long as it did without butting in:

    Stuff gets by us. It happens — especially if John and I aren’t working at the same time. But we’ll take that thread into consideration as well.
