LSU-Wisconsin series coming closer to fruition

Vikings Packers Football AP

Last month, it was rumored that Wisconsin was looking into a future nonconference game at Lambeau Field with LSU being the opponent of choice for the Badgers.

Based on some comments from LSU today at SEC meetings, that game could turn into a series. LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said that while a home-and-home isn’t finalized, a game at Houston’s Reliant Stadium to open the 2014 is under strong consideration with a TBD return date to Lambeau Field in the mix as well.

Wisconsin and Alabama have already announced that they would meet in the 2015 Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas. Certainly, we’re crossing our collective fingers that this series with the Tigers comes through as well.

It is good to hear some positive movement toward a game or two or a series is ongoing now that the SEC wimped out and left the SEC schedule at 8 games. AD Aleva has kept his word about this, and I know LSU is wanting a game at Reliant Stadium in Houston to help with recruiting in the Houston area. With the TCU game at Cowboy Stadium in the Cowboy Classic to begin the season in about 3 months, LSU will have an audience and presence in Texas, which is what they want.

I hope matters will progress with a Michigan game as well.

Just a reminder to all…keep the good people of Moore, OK and the surrounding areas in your thoughts and prayers. Give as you can to help these people who lost everything.

I want to see Arkansas vs UW in 2017 or later. Let both new coaches put their stamps on their programs, then have at each other.

    LSU and freaking WISCONSIN???

    What about LSU and Michigan???

We keep trying… can’t figure out what the hold up is???

polegojim, the hold up as you so “graciously” put it isn’t there. I’d be willin to believe the Powers that Be know what they’re doin and feel they’ve got a handle on the situation. Hang in there, take a deep breath, and remember things will work out for the best.

Sup… actually, I’ve been in contact with the AD dept… and there is a ‘hold’ up… but isn’t being disclosed.

That said… I hope you’re right that it’s handled soon

    suprmous:

How are you young lady? I am well…my wife noticed a few more white hairs, she once again offered to “color” them…this time I was prepared and did not call her “Woman!” HA.

Heading back to OKC and Moore, OK today. Know many great people there including the executives in the Cherokee Nation. So many are working so hard there. I think alligatorsnapper and his friends will come get my long travel smoker/grill I use at tailgating and bring it to help me cook for the volunteers and citizens there doing all that hard work. A rancher has offered us steaks and a highway dept. supervisor has a couple of pickup truck loads of mesquite his crews have cut from the right of ways, so it is all coming together.
