Transferring Houston QB dropping down to FCS level

A month after leaving the Houston football program, Rex Dausin has found himself a landing spot at a lower level of football.

In a tweet posted to his Twitter account, the quarterback announced that he has officially signed with Lamar and will play for the FCS program in 2013.  because he is dropping down a level, Dausin will be eligible to play immediately.

“Very blessed for the opportunity God has given me. Time to get to work!” the player tweeted.

After signing as a three-star member of the Cougars’ 2012 recruiting class coming out of San Antonio, Dausin took a redshirt for his true freshman season.  he participated in spring practice this year before deciding to transfer.

    Houston has a lot of talent in that position; too bad a team can only play 1 q’back @ a time.
