In the early hours of Wednesday morning, Bob Stoops’ home was broken into and multiple items, including a vehicle, were stolen. It wasn’t until the following morning when Stoops’ family woke up -- Stoops was in Wichita, Kansas at the time -- that they realized their house had been burglarized.
Just a few days later, an arrest related to the incident has been made. Via Jake Trotter of SoonerNation.com, 21-year-old Corey McCarty was arrested early this morning and taken to the Cleveland County Detention Center. He has been charged with first-degree burglary, possession of stolen property, larceny of a motor vehicle and use of a stolen credit card. Police are still looking for a second suspect.
The Norman Police Department previously released surveillance images of two men who allegedly attempted to use the stolen credit card.
No one was hurt in the burglary.
