UConn CB coach leaving the staff

Matt Cersosimo

Normally, posts involving departures at this time of year involve players. It appears there’s an exception involving UConn.

Coachingsearch.com reported Saturday that UConn cornerbacks coach and recruiting coordinator Matt Cersosimo was leaving the staff to take the head coaching job at Conard High School. The site adds that head coach Paul Pasqualoni plans to hire Fordham tight ends / special teams coordinator Shane Fogarty.

UConn made the news official later Saturday night.

Cerososimo moved to CB coach this winter after spending the previous seven seasons as the Huskies’ wide receivers coach.
