Ex-Wolverine DB reportedly transferring down a level

Josh Furman, Marvin Robinson, Courtney Avery AP

In May, it was announced that Michigan defensive back Marvin Robinson was one of two Wolverine defenders to leave the team for unspecified reasons. At the time, it wasn’t clear where the backup safety would end up.

Consider that cleared up. Reportedly.

Mlive.com reports that Robinson (pictured center) will transfer to Ferris State of the Division II ranks, where he’ll join former Wolverines linebacker Kaleb Ringer.

Robinson appeared in 28 games over his career and started against Notre Dame in 2011. He tallied 27 tackles and a fumble recovery during that period. Because of where Robinson is transferring, he’ll be able to play immediately.

How does he get lower than Michigan?

Good move for him… he’ll get the playing time and perhaps improve his skills.

    Best Wishes M-Rob.

It’s going to be a rough year for the Wolverqueens.
Denard is gone now whose nuts will the national sports media ride? He couldn’t even throw the ball and you all treated him like he was Jesus.
Also can someone explain to me why everyone thinks Rich Rod is such a great coach? He was Michigan’s third choice and he was 8-5 last year. Maybe slightly above average but definitely nowhere near greatness.

Uhhh, Rich Rod is in ARIZONA and this is Hoke’s 3 year coming up. Denard is in JACKSONVILLE with his NFL TEAM. Please, use your flux capacitor and get yourself back to 2013 so you can join us here in reality. Even your “WOLVERQUEENS” joke is pretty much 1989-ish.
