In May of 2012, Colton Paulhus was one of three Colorado State players charged, suspended and ultimately dismissed after the alleged “savage beating” of CSU students.
A year later, the defensive lineman has apparently found himself a new college football landing spot.
By way of The Coloradoan, Paulhus announced on his Facebook page that he will play for Utah in 2013. The Utes have yet to confirm the lineman’s addition to the football team.
In 2011 as a sophomore, Paulhus played in 11 games. In early April of the next year, Paulhus, along with Nordly Capi and Mike Orakpo, was involved in an incident in which four CSU students were savagely beaten -- the paper’s words at the time -- and left the alleged victims with various injuries, from chipped teeth to eyes nearly swollen shut to cuts and bruises to one having a boot print left on his back from where he was allegedly assaulted by one of the football players.
One of the victims was allegedly beaten and kicked by the players to the point of unconsciousness. Per the alleged victims, the incident began when the players lobbed a homophobic slur from their vehicle.
Paulhus and the other two players were ultimately charged with one count each of disorderly conduct. One of the alleged victims was charged with the same offense.

Updated: Wednesday 2:27 p.m. ET: The official word from Utah is in, and it appears Paulhus will not play for the Utes.
Despite a message on his personal Facebook page Tuesday claiming he would be playing for Utah, the university announced Wednesday that Paulhus is not currently on the roster and will not be.
