And, yes, this may or may not be, but definitely is, an excuse to write up another post on what will likely be a slow Fourth of July.
Oh, there will be grilling and adult beverages today -- that’s what celebrating ‘Merica’s birthday is all about right? -- but we’ll be dropping in periodically to make sure the offseason fodder doesn’t build up too much.
And while you’re out there enjoying yourself this Independence Day, we ask that you take a moment or two or 100 to realize, despite whatever troubles you may see in it, just how terrific this here country really is. We’re extremely fortunate to call the United States our home.
With that, have fun, be safe, and for goodness sakes make sure you’re pointing the Roman candles away from the gas tank (which sort of goes along with the “be safe” part).
