With less than a month to go before the start of summer camp, Arizona’s experienced depth in the secondary has taken a bit of a hit.
Safety Vince Miles, the Arizona Daily Star reports, has left the Wildcats football program due to a medical issue. While UA officials confirmed the departure, the exact nature of the medical issue was not disclosed.
Miles played in 13 games last season and was credited with 28 tackles. It’s unclear if the medical issue would preclude him from playing elsewhere this season.
As noted by the Daily Star, Miles was expected to compete for perhaps even more playing time in 2013.
