Thursday afternoon one-liners

Daniel McCullers

Meandering our way through the offseason, a single one-liner at a time…

The Tennessean makes the argument that Tennessee’s defense may be worth watching in 2013.

– Four knee injuries later, Louisville wide receiver Michaelee Harris is using the medical speed bumps as motivation.

– American Athletic Conference commissioner Mike Aresco labels as “very likely” a new bowl game for his conference at Marlins Park.

– Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo stepping into and adjusting to his role as a leader.

Robert Anae‘s new BYU offense hinges on the big boys up front.

Lawrence Journal-World: Kansas football has a shot to recapture past playmaking magic.

– Syracuse is looking at adding statues of Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little near new indoor practice facility.

Not sure what magic they are referring to… KU fell below .500 for their all time record last year. KU had a little success after Snyder left KSU… but now that he’s back it seems KSU is the big dog in Kansas now. Sorry but I don’t think Charlie Weis is going to save you Jayhawks….

Just embrace that you’re a basketball school and be happy with that.
