Two players no longer with Pitt

Tw0 players who contributed in 2012 won’t be suiting up at all for Pitt in 2013.

By way of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, linebacker Dan Mason (pictured) and offensive lineman Arthur Doakes are no longer with the team. Specifically, Doakes has transferred to Stony Brook.

Mason played in five games last season before suffering a lacerated liver that ended his year. That injury came two years after he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Mason, who was in his final year of eligibility, had not been practicing with the team.

Doakes, who did participated in spring practices, started the final four games of 2012 before being suspended for the BBVA Compass Bowl.

After their showing in the bowl game last year, all the returning starters should transfer. What an embarrassment.

Those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones Irishdodger. The Fighting Irish got several gifts beating Pitt last season and made a joke of the NCAA Championship game. No way they deserved to be there.

You should worry about your own team and their pretend girlfriends.

    Go Pitt!
