Gene Chizik will reportedly host radio show this fall

Former Auburn coach Gene Chizik isn’t at SEC Media Days this year, but that doesn’t mean he’s removed from the game entirely.

According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, Chizik will host a show on SiriusXM radio on the College Sports Nation channel.

Chizik has done some media work before for ESPN as an analyst, but this would be his first time hosting a show. He’s come across as smooth and insightful on TV, so this looks like a good pickup for Sirius. Until Chizik finds his way to the sidelines again, that is.

Chizik was fired from Auburn after a 3-9 season in 2012, but only after leading the Tigers to a 2011 BCS championship over Oregon.

Good for him. Hopefully this will get him back to the sidelines, whether as a head coach or d-coordinator. I always thought he was a good coach. He just made some poor decisions choosing his personnel the last year with hiring loeffler and keeping Ted roof.

Gene Chizik should be banned from any college campus. He does not recruit student/athletes, just athletes. And I’m sick and tired of some posters saying these players are “just children”. Many of these “children” are already parents out of wedlock! When will the insanity end…….
