Former Auburn coach Gene Chizik isn’t at SEC Media Days this year, but that doesn’t mean he’s removed from the game entirely.
According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, Chizik will host a show on SiriusXM radio on the College Sports Nation channel.
Chizik has done some media work before for ESPN as an analyst, but this would be his first time hosting a show. He’s come across as smooth and insightful on TV, so this looks like a good pickup for Sirius. Until Chizik finds his way to the sidelines again, that is.
Chizik was fired from Auburn after a 3-9 season in 2012, but only after leading the Tigers to a 2011 BCS championship over Oregon.
