Les Miles: RB Hill still suspended, separated from team

Les Miles AP

Les Miles started off the third and final day of SEC Media Days talking about how he spent his summer rappelling down a building and researching hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Then he spoke with an Australian accent.

Oh, Les.

But on a more serious note, the LSU coach did address the ongoing “legal entanglement”, as Miles put it, involving running back Jeremy Hill. The sophomore pleaded guilty last week to a charge of simple battery stemming from his involvement in a fight outside a bar in April.

At the time, Hill was already on probation for a previous misdemeanor charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, which was reduced from a felony charge of oral sexual battery. Hill has a probation hearing a little less than a month from now, at which time his future with the team, and as a free man, will become a lot clearer.

In the meantime, Miles said Hill remains indefinitely suspended and “separated” from the team and his teammates.

“We’ve visited with Jeremy Hill on a routine basis, but he hasn’t been involved in workouts,” Miles said. “He hasn’t been allowed in our building.”

Having finally seen the video, I am surprised this guy is still on the team. That sucker punch looked like the kind of thing that could get you in a lot of trouble whether you are on probation or not. Glad no one got hurt.

Too bad Hill couldn’t play for Urban Meyer. He would have walked away scot free from the law with his “punishment” running 10 extra laps around the end zone.

When Coach Les Miles repelled down One America Place, he brought world-wide attention to the plight of the large number of foster children in Louisiana in need of adoptive families.

Following his repel and the huge media attention, telephone calls came in from all over America and Canada, and some from Europe as well. Now adoptions are proceeding, a welcome and wonderful result of Miles’ courageous and unorthodox activity.

    @ granadafan and mshassen3000:

FYI! The overwhelming majority of arrests under Urban while he was at Florida were for your standard DUI and teenage type infractions. Georgia had more arrests than Florida during the same timeframe and yet nothing is ever said about that fact. So he quit his job at Florida. Who hasn’t quit a job at one time or another? Get over it!

shut up tramps. Its the same tired bs from you day after day after day.

Rip apart black athletes from other schools and look the other way at your own schools transgressions.

Why don’t you just come out and say what you really mean when you type “thug”?! Everyone knows what you mean by that word.

As with any racist p.o.s. you are a coward and won’t do it.

You are a garbage human being and should have been kicked off of this site a long time ago. Get lost loser.

Sorry dude, but I bleed purple and gold and Jeremy Hill is a thug. Les will kick him off the team regardless of what the judge decides at his upcoming hearing. I know, especially on here, people seem to think Les Miles lets a lot of crap go with his players but the reality is he does not.

Jeremy Hill will never play another game for LSU.

And isn’t it funny how Suckeye fans now flock to defend their scumbag coach.

    @infrno

Your a good fan of LSU and you have character for wanting this piece of garbage off of your team. This thug, this miscreant is just not a worthy of being on any college campus. He’s a felon who has terrible anger issues. He should probably be institutionalized. Let me put it another way: after he is convicted, he WILL BE INSTITUTIONALIZED! If not in jail, than he should be in another institution. Hey Paul Hargis, which institution are you in? How are the accommodations you nut case? They need to increase the dosage of your meds wherever you are. Keep reading…..
