Four-star signee has left Oklahoma State

The highest-rated defensive member of Oklahoma State’s 2013 class is no longer a Cowboy, OSU’s head coach has acknowledged.

Mike Gundy confirmed at the Big 12 media days Monday that Naim Mustafaa left the team at some point over the summer, and there doesn’t appear to be a return in the offing at any point in the near future. As expected, Gundy declined to give a reason for the abrupt departure.

After enrolling early, Mustafaa participated in spring practice. Exiting spring, he was listed No. 3 on the depth chart.

Mustafaa was a four-star member of OSU’s most recent class, rated as the No. 18 strongside defensive end by 247Sports.com and the No. 23 player in the state of Georgia.
