Video: FSU TE survives horrifying motorcycle accident

It had been kept on the down low for the past couple of months, but in early May, Florida State tight end Nick O’Leary was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident in Tallahassee.

O’Leary, the grandson of golfing great Jack Nicklaus, was not seriously hurt in the incident. However, a video of the accident obtained by the good guys at TomahawkNation shows that O’Leary very well could have sustained life-threatening injuries.

Below is the video of the incident. Please use caution when watching, as it is quite graphic.

Ho. Ly. Crap.

And it’s not just that O’Leary wasn’t seriously hurt, it’s that he got up and walked away after reportedly sliding 75-100 feet. O’Leary, who caught 21 passes for 252 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore in 2012, was still sent to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the car was cited with causing the wreck as they did not establish a right of way.

Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher briefly addressed O’Leary’s accident during ACC Kickoff meetings, saying “he wrecked that daggone scooter and was banged up for about a month, that knucklehead.”

Yeah, that knucklehead. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to pick my jaw up off the floor.
