Another day, another Georgia LB sidelined with hand injury

Yesterday, we noted that Georgia’s projected starting outside linebacker James DeLoach would undergo thumb surgery that would sideline him for part of fall camp, but that he would be back in time for the Bulldogs’ season opener against Clemson.

Similarly, UGA announced Tuesday that outside linebacker Leonard Floyd would need surgery for a fractured left hand he sustained in practice. Like DeLoach, the injury is not expected to keep Floyd out for a long period of time and the freshman should be back for the season-opener against the Tigers.

As the Macon Telegraph notes, Floyd could see some playing time against Clemson after emerging as one of the most promising young players for the Bulldogs in camp.
