A&M is on this list twice… both for things not having to do with football and both situations are quite sad to be honest.

That said, I’m not trying to compare Johnny Manziel being an idiot and causing trouble for the entire program to three young men dying tragically in a car crash.

One of those stories is sad and frustrating, the other is tragic and heartbreaking.

That was a good article by Forde. I don’t always agree with him but I do here. The slippery slope would rear its ugly head ASAP if players were allowed to get paid. Some would need agents. Then they’d fight for collective bargaining rights. Then HS players are getting paid. I don’t have a problem putting money into a pool for the very few players who the NCAA does cash in on (Manziel, Tebow, etc) & they can collect when their amateur status ends. Despite how much I’m not a fan of the NCAA or college administrations, paying players opens Pandora’s Box.

No that I continue reading…. 5 of these are about A&M.

None of them good. I wish we could just start the season today….

Does Notre Dame own NBC or does NBC own Notre Dame?
