TCU loses another offensive lineman, this time for medical reasons

Gary Patterson AP

Just about every team goes through roster attrition leading up to, and into, preseason camp. But TCU has taken some big hits over the past several days.

Just earlier this week, the Horned Frogs’ second-leading tackler from a year ago, Joel Hasley, decided to leave the program. Four days before that, offensive lineman Tayo Fabuluje departed for personal reasons.

Now, TCU is losing another lineman in junior Michael Thompson, who was forced to retire with a medical disqualification after multiple knee surgeries.

Thompson started six games in 2011 and played in two games in 2012, but had both seasons cut short because of injury. HIs departure further thins the team’s O-line group that will open the season against LSU.

Right now, a team that returned plenty of starters from a season ago just can’t seem to catch much of a break.

The TCU O line was a question mark and potentially a weakness before the attrition. I do not really understand getting amped up about an opponent having this kind of luck. If TCU loses it can partly be chalked up to losing Devonte Fields, Tayo Fabuluje, Joel Hasley and now Michael Thompson…

If TCU wins … well that would make LSU look almost as bad as they do for not kicking a child rapist off of their team.

I guess Les Miles doesn’t feel quite as confident as you since he is leaving his options open regarding playing Hill. Looking forward to the game win or lose.

With or without Hill, LSU was going to trample TCU

    From Urban Dictionary:

An expression used by inbred Cajuns meaning “Damn my sister looks good tonight. I’d really like to get me some of that!” Very difficult to prounounce correctly with front teeth.

“You seed the tube-top an shrimp boots my sister got on tonight? Tiger Bait!”
