Wednesday morning offseason one-liners

Some links from around college football on a Wednesday…

– A new, football-only subdivision could eventually be on its way.

– If John Infante has something to say NCAA-wise, we listen. This is his latest piece on Johnny Manziel and the Olympic Model.

– Louisville assistant Clint Hurtt, who has been on administrative leave as he deals with his own portion of the Miami-NCAA mess, was back on the practice field Tuesday.

Jay Bilas does a little searching at ShopNCAASports.com. Hilarity ensues.

Bill Snyder: wizard of a coach, but flunked out of Missouri. Snyder also one time prevented a player from committing suicide. Powerful stuff.

– There’s no doubt in Fitz Toussaint‘s mind: he’ll be the starting running back for Michigan this year.

– Nebraska running back Ameer Abdullah won’t sneak up on anyone this year.

– Georgia Tech offensive tackle Nick Brigham received a special waiver to play for the Yellow Jackets immediately. He was a transfer from Maryland.

The Jay Bilas thing really shows the hypocrisy of the NCAA… Profiting DIRECTLY off of player names.

The Infante article is really good and well thought out.
