UConn RB arrested, suspended

Joseph Williams

Despite the fact that we are just a little over three weeks away from the start of a new season on the field, players wandering into trouble off of it continues.

The latest to find himself on the wrong side of the law is UConn’s Joe Williams, who was arrested over the weekend on multiple charges.  According to John Silver of, those charges include alleged credit card theft, illegal use of credit card and larceny.

There are no details yet available as to what led to the arrest and charges.

As a result of the incident, the running back has been suspended indefinitely by the football program.

As a true freshman in 2012, Williams played in six games after enrolling early and participating in spring practice.  He rushed for six yards on three carries, but was looking to see more playing time in the backfield prior to this off-field incident.

This thug can transfer to tOSU and join all of the criminals there. Although he will have to punch a woman before he is fully accepted there.

I’d love to kill this kid for being stupid. But, if I went back and looked at the stupid things I did at that age, I’m sure there would be things I wouldn’t be too proud of.

Hope he gets the message and realizes he’s very close to blowing an opportunity that a lot of other people would die for.

Another miscreant who probably has no right being on a college football team or possessing a grant-in-aid scholarship. Hey JOE WILLIAMS….character counts! This isn’t the UCONN Basketball Team where players take first semesters off and come back in the second semester to bolster the teams chances at a NCAA run….oh yea….UCONN has done that. And THAT is part of the reason they were not invited to join the ACC….Coach K, Roy “Boy” Williams, et al would not have any of that. Credit card theft, illegal use of credit card, & grand larceny….what a role model. Hey Joe, just transfer to Miami and call it a day.

Now, he doesn’t have to go to classes. When he is freed from jail, will he still be the big, tough, ‘macho’ man’ in his neighboorhood; or does he now, automatically become the gang leader ?

This is just so typical of the UConn teams. It seems like there is always something going wrong with either the Basketball teams or Football. And everybody walks around here in CT like UConn can do nothing wrong. They are just a bunch of thugs and the coaches look the other way. The women basketball players are such foulmouth POS’s. You should hear them out on the court. Point of interest, as far as I know not one of the hockey players has had a problem. Unless the coach is just better at covering it up?
